About Rossville Plumbing
A Hamilton plumbing company started by Nixon Bowen in 2018, working mostly in single-family houses and rental units.
Nixon Bowen
Nixon Bowen owns Rossville Plumbing. The jobs he knows best are water heater replacements, leaking supply lines, stubborn drains and fixture installs, and he is often called to older houses, where worn shutoff valves and corroded pipe tend to show up once a wall is opened.
He gives an estimate only after he has looked at the problem, and he goes through what each line of it covers before any work starts. If something unexpected turns up partway through, he calls the customer before going further.
A Company Started in Hamilton in 2018
Nixon started Rossville Plumbing in 2018, and the work has stayed close to home: houses and rental units in Hamilton and the towns around it, with some small shops and offices. Most of it begins the same way. A sink takes minutes to empty, a toilet keeps running after the flush, a brown stain spreads across a ceiling, or the water never gets hot. Usually a plunger and a bottle of drain cleaner have already been tried.
Much of Hamilton, from Rossville on the west bank of the Great Miami River to the East End, is houses built across a long stretch of years, many with basements, some with a century of repairs layered into the walls. That mix is why the same visit can involve modern PEX in one room and old galvanized pipe in the next.
Houses and Jobs Rossville Plumbing Takes On
- Older houses, where shutoff valves have worn out, galvanized supply lines have corroded and cast-iron drains are due for attention.
- Newer builds, where the trouble is more often a fixture, a supply line or a water heater reaching the end of its life.
- Rental units, where landlords need a leak, a clog or a dead water heater dealt with so the tenant has water again.
- Single fixtures: a faucet, a toilet, a garbage disposal, a shutoff valve or a hose bib.
- Whole-bathroom work, when the old fixtures come out and new supply lines, valves and drains go in behind them.
- Small shops and offices, for restrooms, break-room sinks and water heaters.
Drop Cloths First, a Clean Floor After
Drop cloths go down first, before tools come out of the case. Once the work is done, the area is swept and wiped, so the cabinet under the sink or the corner of the basement is left the way it was found, minus the leak.
The services are laid out by kind of job on the Services page, from repairs and installs to water heaters, drains and sewer lines.
