What details reach you?

Most of what we hold comes directly from you. Fill in the online form and we get the details you enter, possibly including your name, phone, email, the job address or ZIP code (when those fields are on the form) and what the work involves. Call or write to us and we get the content of that conversation, plus any pictures or files you attach. A little server data is collected too: our hosting provider records each visit’s IP address and browser, plus the page asked for and the time, to protect the site and keep it available.

Who replies in the chat?

When you write in the chat on rossville-plumbing.com, we keep a copy of the conversation: your messages and whatever you type there, like your name, telephone number, email or what the job is. Saved with it are the page you opened the chat on, the site that sent you here, your rough location, which comes from your internet address, the kind of device and browser you use, and a random code your browser stores so your chats on this website can be told apart. An automated assistant may answer the chat, and the providers that run it process your messages to write its replies. All of this goes toward answering you, helping you book the work and making the chat better.

Do you use cookies or count visits?

You won’t find advertising or analytics cookies on this site. The host may still set one cookie that the site strictly needs for security. Page views may also be counted without cookies; the counts are anonymous totals for each page.

Who handles my information besides you?

Others who may see your information:

  • the companies that host this site, carry our email and deliver messages from the online form;
  • service partners helping us answer you or do the work;
  • public authorities or other parties, when a law requires it or where that is necessary to protect rights or safety.

Why do you need my details?

We use your information to:

  • answer your request;
  • meet our legal obligations;
  • keep our business records;
  • follow up about the job afterwards;
  • arrange and carry out the work;
  • protect this site.

How do you protect my details?

Security, in short: reasonable care on our side, but no guarantee, because no way of storing or sending information is completely safe.

When is my information deleted?

We keep information for as long as it is needed for your request, the work, our business records and our legal obligations, and then we delete it.

Can I ask what you hold about me?

By phone or by email, you can ask Rossville Plumbing any of three things: what personal information it holds about you, to have that information corrected, and to delete it. We’ll want to confirm your identity before acting. Making such a request never leads to worse treatment, prices or service.

Opting out of sale or sharing

Some state privacy laws, California’s among them, give residents an opt-out right. It applies to two things, the “sale” of personal information and its “sharing,” as each of those laws defines the terms.

Send requests to nixon@rossville-plumbing.com or make them by phone at (513) 902-3413. One sentence will do, for example: “Please opt me out of the sale or sharing of my personal information,” then your name and the number or email address on file with us, which is how we find your records. You pay nothing and need no account.

After you ask, you’ll hear back from us confirming the request, and we’ll complete it within the period the law sets. We won’t ask you for more information than it takes to find you in our records.

Requests from authorized agents are accepted when the agent holds a signed authorization from the person.

Global Privacy Control also works: where the law requires it, any browser sending the signal is treated as having asked to opt out.

Your price and your service stay exactly the same if you opt out.

What about children?

This site isn’t intended for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

What if this notice changes?

This notice can be updated at any time, and the newest version is the one dated at the top.
